Hello everyone,
I have big news to share. I’ve decided to introduce a paid tier, which I’ll explain shortly.
First, a quick note on how I got here:
On the heels of a personal finance course that taught me about stocks and compound interest, I bought the year 2000 top in the stock market. I was about to learn some very hard lessons as a teenager/early adult about the buy-and-hold mantra. A decade-long bear market didn’t deter me and in 2011, I began sharing price charts on StockTwits. More lessons were learned – this time on fighting trends and how not to draw charts.
But in 2017, Howard Lindzon put me on his “Who I follow” list and in late 2020, JC Parets gave me a nudge to start this blog.
Early last year, I began writing with a consistent schedule: one post every Sunday morning recapping markets across the globe. The blog has steadily grown to almost 2,000 readers now. Several of you have messaged me saying that reading this blog has become part of your weekly routine. It’s awesome to hear that these posts are providing others value.
Back to the news: With experience and a readership base, I have decided to turn on payments starting with the post on March 26th (tomorrow’s post is still free). The price will be 33 USD/month when you pay annually.
It’s understandable if this is beyond some peoples’ budgets. If so, please continue to follow my short-form work on Twitter. I’ll occasionally write some public blog posts as well.
For those that can and want to support the blog, you’ll get a more complete story behind my charts, as well as some private charts.
I am a real, full-time trader and I use the same research I share here to manage my own portfolio. A lot of work goes into writing these posts and ensuring my analysis stays on top of market trends while striving to remain simple, objective, and consistent. If you haven’t already, please see the ‘about me’ page for details about my background, my trading approach and two podcast appearances.
I’m excited about some mega-trends that have emerged in recent years, and they might still have years of runway left. Let’s ride them together while dealing with volatility and managing our risk.
Thank you everyone for this upcoming milestone! 🙏🏼
Cheers,
Brian
